Roadmap .MAP

2026-10 → 2027-02 · Four months to turn the goal into our first complete device.

THE GOAL

One Embody plus one 3D printer is enough to build a complete IoT smart device (starting from ESP32) — from design to manufacturing, from hardware to software.

2026-10 NEXT PRODUCT

Define — product selected, design frozen

Select the first end-to-end demo product (an ESP32 IoT device) and freeze its circuit design and feature set.

Solidify laser-etching process parameters as the foundation for repeatable runs.

Deliverable: circuit design frozen

2026-11 PLANNED PRODUCT

Build — the full process, run end to end

Run the complete manufacturing flow on the demo product: laser PCB etching → paper stencils → placement → reflow soldering.

Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) closed loop: automatic PASS/FAIL verdicts, every test producing a traceable audit package.

Deliverable: the first PCBA built fully in-house and green on HIL

2026-12 PLANNED PRODUCT OPEN SOURCE

Integrate — the first complete device lights up

3D-printed enclosure design and printing, assembly, firmware and connectivity — the Embody + 3D printer combination lands for the first time.

The first open-source repository goes live (candidate: the HIL automated testing framework).

Deliverable: first complete device + first open-source repo

2027-01 PLANNED PRODUCT OPEN SOURCE

Ship — demo polished, open source expands

Iterate for repeatability and shorter build time; finalize the 2-3 minute end-to-end demo video.

Expand open source and community; plan the next phase.

Deliverable: end-to-end demo video + next-phase roadmap

NOTES

This roadmap states our public milestones; progress and adjustments are tracked in the Evolution Log. Process details stay undisclosed until the corresponding patent applications are filed — file first, open later.
